Senior🎓
Top SchoolGrayson Croom is a mathematician and software engineer with nine years of practical experience bridging rigorous math research and production software. A dual BS in Computer Science and Mathematics from UT Dallas, he has interned and shipped performance-critical C++ and R/C++ optimizations for hedge models, reworking an optimizer to be multiple times faster for real clients. He pairs classroom teaching—multiple semesters as a calculus TA and active-learning lab leader—with research in conformal geometry and topological data analysis applied to neuroscience, and is now a PhD student in Mathematics at Syracuse. Comfortable across the stack from Swift and PHP/Laravel to Python and C++, he also has experience improving maintainability of EMR systems and building iOS features. Grayson’s profile reflects a rare mix of pedagogical skill, proven optimization chops, and ongoing mathematical research that informs his approach to algorithmic engineering.
