Senior🎓
Top SchoolGreg Hawkins is a seasoned technology and security leader with over a decade of experience building cloud-native banking systems and scaling teams from startup to enterprise. As Starling Bank’s founding CTO he led the creation of the first UK current account deployed entirely in the cloud, steering the bank through licence approval and its first 100k customers, and later served repeatedly as senior advisor and interim CISO to mature its security posture. He combines hands-on engineering and DevOps expertise with strategic advisory work across fintech, consulting and regulated industries, repeatedly translating regulatory, audit and availability requirements into resilient architecture. An MPhil in Philosophy of Mathematics from Cambridge, he retains an engineer’s curiosity and also writes fiction, hinting at a creative thinker who blends technical rigor with narrative sensibility.
