Top SchoolGregory Custer is a Staff Software Engineer with a decade of experience building embedded and integration-focused systems for banking and aerospace, blending low-level languages like JOVIAL, C and assembly with modern APIs and tooling. He transitioned from PhD-level bioengineering research—where he built large-scale analysis software and interactive visualizations—to production software at Treasury Prime, designing bank and third-party integrations, payments, and APIs. Gregory contributes to open-source projects such as an Android GraphView library, improving label rendering and usability, and brings hands-on troubleshooting experience from developing operational flight software and diagnostic tools. Based in Perry, Georgia, he pairs a pragmatic engineering approach with a tinkerer’s curiosity—often applying lessons from woodworking and home projects to solve software design problems.
