Top SchoolGuilherme Souza is a seasoned infrastructure and DevOps leader with 13 years of experience building and scaling cloud-native platforms, currently serving as Head of Infrastructure in Dubai. He has a proven track record transforming ops teams into product-oriented platform organizations—cutting costs by half, reducing MTTR, and enabling safe self-service across business units. Hands-on across Python/Django, Ruby/Rails, MySQL/MongoDB and Kubernetes, he combines deep backend engineering with SRE practices and observability-driven reliability. Guilherme’s open-source contributions include improving GIF-to-video processing in the widely used thumbor image service, reflecting a pragmatic focus on performance and media optimization. He’s repeatedly delivered major migrations and capacity projects—everything from large-scale logging and Kafka improvements to successful PaaS and Kubernetes migrations—while keeping operational overhead and latency down. Colleagues describe him as a builder who prefers measurable outcomes and continuous improvement over theory.
