Summary
👤
Senior🎓
Top SchoolGuodong Xu is a seasoned software engineering leader with two decades of experience in embedded Linux, mobile platforms, and open source, currently directing software engineering for RISCstar Solutions in Beijing. He has driven upstream Linux kernel development for RISC-V and led technical operations and teams across China to advance RISC-V and Arm ecosystems. His background spans Motorola mobile platform breakthroughs (WiFi power management, NFC commercialization) to senior technical leadership at Linaro where he spearheaded AArch64 SVE optimizations and OpenSSL 3.0 provider work. Comfortable bridging product, sales, and engineering, he repeatedly turns SoC-level requirements into mainline upstream contributions and deployable BSPs. Colleagues rely on him for cross-cultural collaboration and complex system integration across firmware, kernel, and cryptographic stacks. An uncommon strength is his blend of hands-on driver/kernel expertise with strategic ecosystem development—helping vendors upstream code rather than keeping fixes siloed.
