Senior🎓
Top SchoolGustavo Carvalho is an experienced analyst with 12 years blending data science, academia and QA testing, currently operating as a freelance QA analyst and running a data analysis consultancy focused on healthcare and advertising. He brings deep technical rigor from a PhD and postdoc in ecology—where he built data pipelines, scraped and cleaned large unstructured datasets, and trained deep nets for image detection—into practical testing of OTT, web and mobile apps using tools like Charles Proxy, TestRail and Jira. Comfortable switching between research-grade analytics and production testing, he specializes in spotting subtle data quality issues, duplicate records, and location/name inconsistencies that often evade automated checks. Based in São Paulo, he combines a scholarly approach to experimental design with hands-on product validation, making him adept at turning complex data problems into reliable, testable solutions.
