Senior🎓
Top SchoolGustavo Straube is a Staff Software Engineer based in Paraná, Brazil, with over a decade of professional experience and two decades of hands-on work building products and companies. He excels at turning legacy systems into modular, reliable platforms—leading decoupling efforts, improving test coverage to 90%, and shipping infra and DevSecOps changes that materially reduce cycle times and incidents. Gustavo blends full-stack fluency with product thinking, having rebuilt mobile and web experiences that increased engagement and retention for consumer products like NFL fantasy games and MileIQ’s reports. As a founder and early-stage operator he’s balanced engineering with sales, client management and growth, giving him strong judgment on technical trade-offs that affect business outcomes. He’s comfortable leading small engineering teams, partnering with leadership, and rapidly adopting new stacks (e.g., becoming a core Python backend contributor from near-zero experience). Outside typical engineering KPIs, he’s shipped developer-facing frameworks and third-party integration scaffolding that improve long-term developer velocity.
