Senior🎓
Top SchoolGustavo Tsuji is a seasoned software engineer with 18+ years of experience building and modernizing scalable backend systems, currently shaping ad integration at Grupo OLX from São Paulo. He combines Computer Science and Business Administration training from USP to align technical choices with measurable business outcomes, having delivered features that increased CTR by ~13-15% and conversion by ~15-25%. Gustavo has led impactful infrastructure work—migrating services to AWS Graviton to cut compute costs ~60%, lowering cache spend, and executing zero-downtime database upgrades—while championing Node.js modernization, PostgreSQL partitioning, and DevOps best practices. Comfortable across Java, Node.js, Python, AWS, Kubernetes and relational databases, he blends hands-on implementation with mentoring and peer education. Not obvious from the title: he frequently drives cost-conscious architectural changes that improve both performance and team autonomy, turning operational work into product gains.
