Top SchoolHao Yuan is a pragmatic software engineer with eight years of experience building high-throughput, cloud-native systems and a Master’s in Computer Science from Northeastern University. He played a leading role at Charles Schwab modernizing legacy messaging and notification infrastructure—delivering components that now serve 30 million customers and improving performance by several hundred percent. Comfortable owning end-to-end systems, he has designed REST APIs, CI/CD pipelines, autoscaling metadata, and stress tests that shifted operational reliability and cut maintenance overhead. Known for stepping into hard problems, he became his team’s quality gatekeeper through rigorous code review and mentoring despite junior beginnings. Now at ByteDance, he applies that blend of disciplined engineering and hands-on delivery to global monetization products. An engineer who prizes elegant code, he pairs practical system design with a willingness to tackle uncomfortable challenges to accelerate growth.
