Senior🎓
Top SchoolHao Z is a Senior Software Engineer with 11 years building backend systems and shipping product-facing features across ad tech and consumer platforms, currently contributing to Meta’s ads stack from Sunnyvale. He has moved between startups and tech giants (AppLovin, Salesforce Quip, Google, TripAdvisor, CarGurus) solving live-data, anti-abuse, localization, and real-time notification problems, often improving performance and operational reliability. Comfortable across the full stack, he’s a backend specialist who enjoys UI work and has a track record of turning brittle systems into maintainable microservices and performant live apps. Pragmatic and metrics-driven, he’s delivered tooling that reduces toil (CI alerting, sync jobs, caching layers) and triaged customer-facing issues to meet SLAs. Notably, he pairs hands-on coding with playful team culture—he’s hosted internal virtual guitar events while doing counter-abuse work at Google—bringing technical depth and human energy to complex engineering challenges.
