Rockstar🎓
Top SchoolHaoqi Li is a Senior Research Scientist with a PhD from USC and eight years of experience applying machine and deep learning to speech, language, and multimodal affective computing, with a strong focus on mental health applications. He has moved research into production-grade problems across industry—working on expressive speech generation and empathic voice interfaces at Hume AI, speaker recognition and spoofing detection at AWS, and accessibility and localization at Netflix. Haoqi’s work blends signal-level expertise (speech/audio processing, TTS, ASR) with representation learning under low-resource constraints, a skill honed during his doctoral projects on sparse networks and transfer learning. Based in Los Gatos, he pairs rigorous academic training with product-oriented research, and his cryptic GitHub tagline hints at a reflective, philosophical approach to code and impact.
