Top SchoolHarold Tomlinson is a retired GE researcher with 36 years of experience inventing and leading development in sensors, image processing, communications, and air traffic management, holding 36 patents and multiple publications. He led multidisciplinary teams on projects ranging from netcentric warfare and satellite tracking to ultra-wideband wireless and ERAM/FMS integration for trajectory-based operations. Since retirement he has translated technical leadership into nonprofit governance, serving eight years as a leader of charity sailing regatta organizations that fund local hospices and currently as Treasurer of Henderson Harbor Yacht Club. Based in Schenectady, he combines deep systems-engineering expertise with practical program management and a knack for turning complex research into operational solutions. An often-overlooked strength is his sustained cross-domain impact—bridging defense, commercial aviation, and community philanthropy—rather than a narrow technical niche.
