Top SchoolHenry Moss is an Assistant Professor in Mathematical AI at Lancaster University and an Early Career Advanced Fellow in Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics at the University of Cambridge, bringing eight years of research and applied ML experience. His work spans Bayesian optimisation, probabilistic modelling and sequence design, with industry experience as a Senior ML Researcher at Secondmind and an Applied Scientist intern at Amazon Alexa TTS. He has a strong academic foundation from a PhD in Machine Learning and an MRes in Statistics and Operational Research from Lancaster, plus a mathematics degree from Cambridge. His research has led to competitive NeurIPS and ICASSP contributions, and he combines theoretical depth with practical deployment experience in voice synthesis and drug-screening pipelines. Colleagues describe him as someone who bridges rigorous theory and real-world ML systems, often turning constrained scientific problems into efficient, probabilistic solutions. Based in Lancaster, he continues to work at the intersection of math, AI and applied optimisation across academia and industry.
