👤
SeniorHiep Thanh is an Android software engineer with a decade of experience and over eight years focused on native Android development using Kotlin and Java. He has shipped production-critical features at scale for companies like Booking.com, Shopee and Zalo, leading migrations from RxJava to Coroutines, applying Jetpack Compose, and building cross-platform bridges and libraries to streamline product development. At Shopee he saved significant costs by integrating WhatsApp OTP and architected onboarding and authentication flows; at Booking.com he helped design a Redux-inspired Android architecture for the Flights product while mentoring and interviewing new team members. Now based in the UK and currently at Meta, he combines deep mobile engineering skills with practical UX-driven solutions, performance optimization and a knack for tooling and automation that reduces developer and QA friction. An honor-program CS graduate who also completed Udacity’s Kotlin Nanodegree, he brings both academic rigor and hands-on inventiveness—often solving platform problems with small, high-impact algorithms and developer tooling.
