Top SchoolHillary Mader is a front-end-focused software engineer and co-founder with nine years of experience building accessible, performant web applications and design systems. Based in New York, she has led UI and architecture work at startups and enterprises—driving migrations to modern stacks (React hooks, Apollo/GraphQL), optimizing real-time experiences, and creating reusable component libraries and pattern systems. Her work spans product launches for veterinary operations, infrastructure monitoring, and manufacturing support, often improving performance via smarter caching, pagination, and WebSocket-driven updates. A former Marine logistician and FBI cyber intern, she brings disciplined operational rigor and user-centered accessibility to engineering and product decisions. At Patina Project she now pairs technical craft with a mission to support small makers and sustainable consumption, blending entrepreneurial instincts with hands-on delivery.
