Solutions Architect at React
Colombo, Western Province, Sri Lanka
Summary
👤
SeniorHirantha Peiris is a seasoned software and platform engineer with 13 years of experience building cloud-native infrastructure, automation pipelines, and operational tooling across AWS-centric environments. Born and educated in Sri Lanka and now based in Dunedin, he blends hands-on expertise in Terraform, Packer, Ansible, Bamboo/Bitbucket/GitLab CI/CD and Linux scripting with practical experience tuning HAProxy, Nginx and Wildfly for production. A certified AWS Solutions Architect and former GitHub Campus Expert, he has moved from DevOps internships to senior platform roles at Sysco LABS and GTN Tech, and currently contributes as a software engineer at MTF. He balances deep infrastructure automation with full-stack sensibilities—earlier co-founding a startup and contributing to npm/nuget ecosystems—which helps him bridge developer experience and reliable platform delivery. Colleagues describe him as a DevOps geek who prefers pragmatic, end-to-end ownership of systems rather than siloed tooling.
