Top SchoolHow Jing is a seasoned software engineer and tech lead with 12 years of experience building large-scale ML, NLP, and recommendation systems across Meta, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and fast-growing startups. Currently at Meta driving Retrieval-Augmented generative AI, he combines deep machine learning expertise with backend engineering skills in Python and Go to ship production systems at scale. He has led cross-functional teams as an engineering director and manager, tackling internationalization, knowledge graphs, and ads ranking while designing distributed training and data pipelines. Notable for moving between research and production, he collaborated with academia (Carnegie Mellon) on recommendation and deep learning before translating those ideas into industry-grade systems. Based in Sunnyvale, he favors pragmatic, technique-driven problem solving and is comfortable owning both model design and the surrounding infrastructure. Colleagues would describe him as a multi-language programmer who bridges ML research and robust backend engineering to deliver measurable product impact.
