Top SchoolHugh Li is a seasoned log analyst with over 30 years of experience specializing in formation evaluation, reservoir characterization and cased-hole diagnostics, currently supporting abandonment and completion projects from Calgary. He combines deep petrophysical expertise in DTS/DAS, production and cement-bond logging with practical field experience processing GR-CCL, neutron, bond, CHAT and casing inspection data. A former manager and technical lead, Hugh has a strong track record of improving data processing and interpretation through custom programming (Excel VBA, MATLAB, Java, SQL, C#) and has coached junior analysts across multiple service companies. Comfortable interfacing with clients, operations and sales, he translates complex downhole measurements into actionable recommendations that satisfy both regulatory and commercial requirements. Notably, his background spans both software development for downhole tools and hands-on log interpretation, giving him a rare cross-disciplinary view of logging technology and data workflows.
