Top SchoolHugo Van Der Kooij is a veteran support and networking engineer with over 25 years of hands-on experience troubleshooting firewalls, proxies, email gateways and legacy protocols. Based in Hattem, Netherlands, he blends a systematic diagnostic approach with pattern-recognition shortcuts developed since the 1990s networking era, enabling faster resolution of complex incidents. Known for a "customer comes first" ethos, he is comfortable escalating to executive technical leadership to ensure outcomes and is willing to pursue unorthodox solutions when the full picture demands it. Beyond consultancy at KPN Security, he has run volunteer projects linking Linux user groups worldwide and operated an early malware cross-referencing site, reflecting deep curiosity about security and historic protocols. His background in electronics and long-term community involvement signal both technical breadth and a collaborative, service-oriented mindset.
