Top SchoolIan Fisk is an experienced software engineer-turned-educator with 11 years building production-grade full-stack systems and teaching CS at the high school and college level. He has shipped widely used products at Google—authoring the first Google Business Messaging web client SDK deployed across billions of devices—and led infrastructure, OAuth, and data residency work for .NET services on cloud platforms. At Faithlife he drove real-time systems, Kubernetes migrations, and high-traffic single-page apps, and he brings strong TypeScript and .NET expertise to curriculum development. Now based in Fort Collins, he combines classroom leadership and hands-on coaching (including running a multi-team Vex Robotics program and managing five-figure budgets) with a passion for mentoring the next generation of engineers. Notably, he pairs deep production experience with a teacher’s focus on clear documentation and onboarding, making complex systems approachable for students and colleagues alike.
