Rockstar🎓
Top SchoolIan Liu is a project manager and community builder with 14 years of experience championing open tech, open data, and digital rights across Taiwanese government, academia, and civic communities. At the Open Culture Foundation he designs training programs and creative engagement tools—like the board game Open StarTer Village—to make civic tech and open-source principles accessible to students and civil servants. He pairs hands-on front-end experience (notably UI and alarm fixes on Mozilla’s Gaia/Boot2Gecko Clock app) with event leadership from COSCUP to SITCON, blending technical empathy with public-facing outreach. Ian is skilled at localizing and showcasing Taiwan’s open-source contributions through partnerships with MoDA and l10n communities, and he enjoys crafting charming designs that turn abstract policy ideas into tangible, engaging experiences.
