Senior🎓
Top SchoolIan Mejia is a pragmatic data engineer with nine years of experience building scalable pipelines and analytics platforms across startups and enterprise environments in Colombia. He has led end-to-end data transformations—designing master data tables, real-time Azure/Databricks architectures, and production ETL for insurance and mobility products that drove measurable user and revenue growth. Comfortable across a wide polyglot toolset (Python, Go, Rust, Julia, Clojure and Common Lisp) he blends scientific rigor from a physics background with practical engineering to wrangle messy, high-volume datasets into reliable ML-ready features. A NeoVim power-user and self-described Lisp geek, he pairs deep curiosity and low-ceremony execution to rapidly prototype and productionize data solutions. Currently building the intelligence layer for casualty risk transfer, he’s equally at home optimizing performance indices as mining unstructured documents for signal.
