Senior🎓
Top SchoolIasonas Manolas is a C software engineer with a PhD in computer science and a decade of experience building performance-critical systems, particularly in geometry processing and C++. He blends academic rigor from research roles at ISTI-CNR and contributions to CGAL (including parallel tetrahedral remeshing work) with practical automotive and medical-imaging product development. At Carmeq/CARIAD and Software Competitiveness he has led small teams to deliver embedded profiling pipelines and modular visualization tools, shipping optimized C++ code and system ports to Linux. He enjoys turning research ideas into production implementations and has hands-on expertise in simulation, optimization and low-level performance tuning. Based in Athens, he brings both technical leadership and individual-contributor depth, often working at the intersection of algorithms and constrained embedded environments. A not-obvious strength is his track record of moving between academia and industry, enabling rapid incorporation of cutting-edge geometry algorithms into production code.
