Igal Alkon
Israel
Summary
👤
SeniorIgal Alkon is a seasoned Senior C/C++ developer based in Israel with over 14 years of professional experience and a 25-year hands-on history in software craftsmanship. He has designed and shipped resilient backend and IoT systems across startups and scale-stage companies, from high-throughput real-time platforms to cloud-native AWS IoT and data pipelines using Spark and EMR. Comfortable across languages (C/C++, Python, PHP) and infrastructure (Postgres, microservices, production deployments), he often owns both development and operational responsibilities. At Anzu.io and prior roles he focused on performance-sensitive device and backend modules, while earlier work in AdTech and travel demonstrated his aptitude for production reliability under heavy load. A Unix enthusiast who "loves kilobytes," he brings low-level efficiency thinking to large-scale problems and pragmatic architecture decisions.
