Top SchoolIlias Leontiadis is a Staff Research Scientist with 11+ years driving cutting-edge research in Generative AI, large language models, and privacy-preserving on-device machine learning across Google, Meta, Samsung, Telefónica Research and Cambridge. He builds evaluation frameworks, AI judges and reward models for LLMs while also bringing deep systems expertise in distributed and mobile ML—bridging algorithmic rigor with production-focused engineering. His career blends academic foundations (PhD UCL, research fellowship at Cambridge) with industry research leadership, running groups that enable ML on resource-constrained devices. He has chaired and served on program committees for top venues like NeurIPS, ICML and ICLR, signaling influence on research directions beyond his labs. Notably, he moves seamlessly between designing evaluative methodologies for generative models and the low-level systems required to deploy them securely on-device. Based in London, he combines a systems-first mindset with practical AI evaluation work that accelerates responsible, deployable generative models.
