Summary
👤
SeniorIlkka Rinne is an interoperability architect and founder with over two decades of experience designing scalable web architectures, data models, and user-friendly interfaces for international projects. Based in Helsinki, he has led Spatineo since 2011, combining hands-on software design with customer-focused interoperability work and stewardship in standards bodies like OGC, ISO and the EU INSPIRE community. He excels at synthesizing complex systems into clear architectures, identifying weak points and pragmatic solutions that balance optimal UX with realistic implementation effort. His background spans systems architecture roles in meteorology and government information services through to founding a company that operationalizes geospatial interoperability. Colleagues know him for strong presentation and interpersonal skills and a persistent curiosity that drives both conceptual innovation and practical delivery. An active contributor in expert international groups, he brings rare domain depth in geospatial standards alongside broad technical fluency.
