Senior🎓
Top SchoolIllia Chaban is a backend-focused software engineer with eight years of experience building and maintaining production services across Python and Go, now based in Bratislava and currently at Cisco. He has a strong record of modernizing legacy systems, migrating services (notably Python-to-Golang), and implementing robust CI/CD, IAM, and MFA solutions for large-scale applications. Illia’s work spans full‑text and vector search, analytics dashboards, webhook integrations, and performance-focused database design using PostgreSQL and Redis. Comfortable across cloud, container, and virtualization stacks (AWS, Docker, QEMU), he pairs pragmatic engineering with attention to observability and maintainability. He uniquely combines SEO-domain expertise with low-level scripting and OS fluency (Fedora, Manjaro, NixOS), enabling him to bridge data-heavy business needs and reliable backend architecture. Colleagues rely on him to simplify aging components and deliver production features that scale while keeping systems auditable and performant.
