Summary
👤
SeniorIoan Rogers is a Site Reliability Engineer with 16 years of experience building reliable, container-first infrastructure and object-oriented Perl services backed by PostgreSQL. Currently at MaxMind, he blends hands-on systems administration with SRE practices to drive continuous deployment and microservice architectures. His history includes producing production-grade secure signing services, introducing FreeIPA and CI/CD tooling, and migrating legacy apps to autoscale on AWS—work that often became open source. A long-time CPAN module author, he brings deep Perl expertise and a pragmatic approach to innersourcing and developer-friendly ops. Based in Parksville, BC, he pairs core infrastructure instincts with a knack for modernizing brittle systems into test-covered, deployable services.
