Itay Duvdevani
Software Engineer at Facebook
Israel
Summary
👤
SeniorItay Duvdevani is a versatile software engineer with 10 years of experience solving hard, impactful problems across compilers, mobile platforms, and large-scale product integrations. At Facebook he has driven technical leadership on projects deployed to billions of devices, implemented zero-rating traffic policies inside million-line codebases, and navigated regulatory and privacy constraints to keep services compliant and functional. His background includes building cross-compilation and transpilation tooling (Java-to-C++, LLVM Lua-to-JVM) and leading massive, multi-stage codebase migrations safely. Comfortable at the intersection of systems, compilers, and product, he brings a pragmatic inventor’s mindset—turning unconventional ideas like transpiling Android to iOS into production-capable solutions. Based in Israel, he pairs deep technical craft with experience coordinating dozens of partners to deliver at global scale.
