Top SchoolJ Silverstein is a Senior Fullstack Engineer based in New York with 11 years of experience building and maintaining microservice-heavy systems, data pipelines, and accessible frontends. Formally trained as an artist, he brings a design-minded approach to engineering—prioritizing usability, ADA compliance, and elegant interfaces while shepherding Node.js, GraphQL, and streaming integrations in production. He’s led engineering teams, mentored junior developers as an instructor, and owned end-to-end delivery of complex feed and licensing pipelines for media partners. Comfortable across backend and frontend stacks, he combines hands-on coding with hiring and documentation efforts to keep teams productive. An avid puzzle, map, and maze enthusiast, he often draws on pattern-thinking from art and literature to solve thorny architectural problems.
