Top SchoolJacq Horizon is a pragmatic full-stack engineer and educator based in Seattle with a decade of creative and technical experience, currently volunteering with Diversity in Data Science and supporting Microsoft’s CI infrastructure. They blend art and animation roots with strong automation instincts—refactoring Ruby tooling to cut runtimes 83%, optimizing MongoDB queries to speed page loads, and building scalable Python ETL and Tableau dashboards that eliminated dozens of manual hours weekly. Comfortable in both front-end (React/Redux) and back-end/cloud stacks (Azure, Spark, Chef), Jacq excels at tackling open-ended problems, devising fixes, then automating them for reliability.
