Jerry Wu
Summary
👤
SeniorJerry Wu is a pragmatic software engineer with a decade of experience building user-facing web and desktop applications, currently contributing to FigJam’s engagement team at Figma. He has a strong track record at Microsoft and IBM delivering measurable product improvements—cutting JS bundle size by 91%, increasing feature engagement by ~25%, and modernizing legacy stacks for millions of daily impressions. Comfortable across full-stack front-end frameworks (React, TypeScript), Electron desktop apps, and cloud deployment (Azure, Kubernetes), he pairs practical engineering with attention to UX and deployability. He’s solved infrastructure pain points by automating cheap review deployments and interfacing directly with platform APIs to reduce installation errors. A former engineering tutor and researcher, he brings an educator’s clarity and a curiosity-driven mindset—once even shipping an in-app Canvas game to boost team delight. Based in Seattle, he favors measurable impact and cross-team collaboration to move features from prototype to production.
