Senior🎓
Top SchoolJimmy Van Den Berg is a software engineer with 11 years' experience specializing in structural analysis and tuned mass dampers, currently leading engineering efforts at Flow Engineering from Rotterdam. He blends rigorous mathematical modeling, spectral analysis, and efficient algorithm design—such as a custom matrix solver—to build real-time simulation and control software for complex physical systems. His background in electrical engineering and hands-on hardware work informs pragmatic designs spanning from drone controllers to active mass dampers and power electronics. Jimmy is comfortable taking projects from theory to deployed controllers, often building hobby prototypes (like a real-time lunar lander simulator) to validate concepts. Colleagues rely on him for statistical analysis and simulation tooling that turn measurement data into actionable designs. He’s open to technical challenges that require combining physics, control systems, and software for practical outcomes.
