Summary
👤
SeniorJoão Figueiredo is an Engineering Manager and seasoned technology leader with nearly 20 years of experience building and scaling digital product teams and operations across agencies and startups. He has led cross-functional teams from hands-on web development to COO and Head of Product roles, driving organizational design, talent acquisition, and process transformations that enabled growth from small teams to ~100 people and €20M+ studio revenue. Comfortable wearing many hats, João blends technical instincts and a strong design sensibility with pragmatic product and operational leadership, notably owning the Urban Platform for Smart Cities at Ubiwhere. He’s known for creating projects from the ground up, challenging conventional approaches, and institutionalizing People Ops and scalable commercial models. Outside work he’s a father, vinyl crate-digger and avid NBA Fantasy debater—evidence of a curious, culture-forward leader who brings personality into management.
