🤩
RockstarJoey Yu is a Software Engineer II based in Montreal with eight years of infrastructure-focused experience building observability and internal tooling at companies including Shopify, Meta, Wealthsimple, and Ciena. He has hands-on experience shipping Shopify Observe and has moved between startup and scale-up environments—cofounded FLOJOY as a founding engineer helping raise $1.3M to modernize hardware testing. Joey combines production-grade observability engineering with a practical background in networking and 5G projects, and he’s comfortable iterating quickly across teams to deliver reliable infra. A McGill Computer Science graduate, he’s actively looking for 2026 new-grad SWE opportunities and brings both startup grit and large-company operational rigor.
