Top SchoolJohan Basson is a seasoned managing director with over 35 years of financial and operational leadership, and more than two decades steering Altron Bytes Document Solutions to become the world’s largest Xerox distributor across 26 sub‑Saharan countries. Promoted from Financial Director to MD, he has led the company’s strategic shift from a product-centric model to a service-led business while maintaining strong commercial and operational controls. A strategic planner and pragmatic problem-solver, Johan blends deep accountancy credentials (BComm cum laude and honours) with hands-on experience in both private and public sectors, including lecturing at the University of Johannesburg. Based in Gauteng, he is results-driven and data-savvy, yet keeps a clear sense of balance through family, sport and the outdoors—reflecting leadership that values people as much as performance.
