Top SchoolJohn Rodney is a Senior Software Engineering Manager based in Houston with 11 years of experience building web, mobile, and game-related applications. He blends hands-on development (Meteor, React, Redux, Node.js) with leadership at EOG Resources while running his own boutique agency, Affinity Innovations, delivering end-to-end products from apps to branding and networks. Comfortable across front- and back-end stacks, he’s also explored web-based virtual reality using A-Frame, bringing immersive experiences to browser contexts. His background includes architecting production tooling and custom integrations for startups and clients, plus early work on CMS and plugin development. A former restaurant manager, he pairs technical depth with practical people and operational skills, accustomed to juggling product delivery and client-facing responsibilities. This mix of entrepreneurial grit, full-stack fluency, and VR curiosity makes him a versatile leader for multidisciplinary engineering teams.
