Senior🎓
Top SchoolJoonas Krohn is a Senior Software Designer based in Turku, Finland with nine years of professional experience transitioning from a trained music teacher to a full-time developer since 2018. He builds enterprise Java/Spring systems with a specialty in complex batch jobs, while also delivering native iOS apps in Swift and web frontends and APIs with React and Node.js (TypeScript/JavaScript). At Accenture and Solita he has designed and implemented critical backend processes for large-scale insurance and enterprise projects, bringing operational reliability to invoicing, premium calculation and termination workflows. His background in music education and ongoing freelance gigs inform a collaborative, disciplined approach to engineering and product design, with a knack for translating domain complexity into clear, testable solutions. Equally comfortable in backend architecture and mobile UX, he blends attention to detail from performance-critical batch processing with a developer-first focus on maintainability and user experience.
