👤
SeniorJorge Gallegos is a Senior Software Engineer with 17 years of experience specializing in distributed server and cluster management, high-traffic/high-availability systems, and distributed datastores both SQL and NoSQL. Currently at Red Hat, he focuses on Kubernetes/OpenShift development and CI/CD design, bringing practical expertise in automating and operating production clusters. He codes primarily in Python but adapts quickly to other languages and tooling, and manages infrastructure with Ansible and Puppet while remaining tool-agnostic. Jorge combines deep systems thinking with hands-on implementation, routinely balancing performance, reliability, and operability at scale. Based in South Gate, California, he pairs enterprise-grade discipline with an open-source mindset—evident from his long-standing freenode presence as kad/thekad.
