Top SchoolJoseph Davancens is a Senior Software Engineer II based in Los Angeles with a decade of experience building cloud-native services on AWS and shipping full-stack product features. He has driven migrations from monoliths to microservices, built data-heavy UIs and ETL tooling, and automated deployment workflows at companies including Marketing Evolution and Nike. Comfortable across Python backends, API Gateway/Lambda, DynamoDB/Postgres, and React-driven front ends, he pairs systems thinking with hands-on implementation and mentorship. Trained as a composer with advanced degrees in music composition, he brings a strong algorithmic and creative perspective—evident in his work at the intersection of computational music and web development. That unusual blend of rigorous musical composition and pragmatic engineering helps him design elegant, maintainable systems that solve complex product and data visualization challenges.
