Top SchoolJosh Ribakoff is a seasoned software engineer with 13 years of experience building resilient, high-performance systems across finance, autonomous vehicles, and media. Based in San Francisco, he has driven measurable impact at companies like Brex, Cruise, and Twitch—reducing servicing interventions by 80%, slashing video latency from seconds to milliseconds, and cutting frontend build times by over 80%. He spans the full stack with deep expertise in Typescript, React, Elixir, GraphQL, Kubernetes, and scalable data pipelines, and is comfortable architecting both infrastructure for money movements and real-time telemetry for driverless ops. Josh combines hands-on optimization (100x frame-rate improvements, significant CPU reductions) with platform-level leadership: testing patterns, SLOs, observability, and developer tooling that reduce friction for hundreds of engineers. He also has entrepreneurial chops from founding and scaling product businesses, bringing a pragmatic, product-focused lens to technical decisions.
