Top SchoolJoshua Thijssen is a freelance software consultant, developer and trainer with 16+ years of experience building and optimizing scalable web systems, databases and server clusters from the Netherlands. He combines hands-on low-level skills (assembly, C/C++) with prolific PHP, Python and Java work, and is a recognized expert in MySQL performance tuning and production hardening. As founder of multiple ventures including TechAdemy and TechAnalyze and co-founder of Seams-CMS, he blends entrepreneurship with practical training and recruitment-focused tooling. Joshua leads development of the Saffire programming language and contributes full-stack work to open projects like a Jekyll-based REST cookbook site, showing an appetite for both experimental systems and polished developer tooling. A frequent international speaker and holder of multiple LPI, Zend and MySQL certifications, he advises teams across architecture, deployment and security while nudging peers toward higher coding and thinking standards. Notably, he prefers deep, solitary focus when building “crazy and insane stuff,” a style that drives both creative prototypes and high-performance production systems.
