Senior🎓
Top SchoolJulian Fortune is a Senior Software Engineer in Portland, Oregon with seven years of experience building backend systems, UIs, and translators using Kotlin, TypeScript, and Scala. He favors immutable, declarative approaches and has shipped production work ranging from SSO and fraud prevention to streaming data tooling and computer vision features at companies like McCourt Global, Disney Streaming, and Agot.AI. Comfortable across the stack, he’s contributed to schema-driven asynchronous messaging platforms and customer-reward systems, and he enjoys projects that generate or transform code such as DSLs and codegen. Colleagues rely on him to bridge product needs and robust engineering practices, and he brings a pragmatic generalist’s lens that surfaces elegant, maintainable solutions.
