Top SchoolJustin Kyryliuk is a Senior Software Engineer with 11 years of hands-on experience building scalable backends, media systems, and cloud architectures from Kitchener, Ontario. He has driven performance-focused projects at Vidyard—cutting video generation times by 90% and modernizing captioning and thumbnail systems—while also leading tech strategy and migrations at Ctrl V and as Director of Technology. Comfortable across the full stack, Justin has repeatedly led migrations to microservices, optimized SQL/Postgres workloads, and leveraged GPU and AWS Lambda ARM infrastructure for cost and speed wins. He combines startup agility (acting CTO and founder-level experience) with enterprise-grade execution for multimedia and real-time systems, and mentors engineers to elevate team practices. A University of Guelph CS co-op alum, he’s equally at home in VR, streaming, and traditional backend engineering—often finding pragmatic, less-obvious optimizations that unlock operational scale.
