Summary
👤
SeniorKarl Wilbur is a seasoned full-stack engineer and entrepreneur with over two decades of experience delivering custom software, Linux server architectures, and DevOps solutions for clients ranging from startups to large enterprises. As Co-Founder and technical lead at K & R Software and owner of Perceivers Custom Computer Service, he designs accessible, standards-compliant web applications and manages infrastructure end-to-end. His expertise spans LAMP and RoR stacks, enterprise networking, and multiple languages/databases including PHP, Ruby, Python, C++, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis and Mongo. He has proven success migrating and scaling systems—most notably helping a Rails app handle millions of daily page views and leading a website transition that dramatically cut agency costs. A long-time Linux enthusiast (since 1999) and hands-on field engineer, Karl combines boots-on-the-ground networking experience with architect-level thinking. He’s equally comfortable crafting legacy COBOL integrations as he is building modern containerized and CI/CD workflows.
