Senior🎓
Top SchoolKarol Barkowski is a founder and senior full-stack engineer with over 11 years of professional experience and more than 20 years building e-commerce platforms, internal tools, and complex integrations. He founded Root Level to eliminate overhead-heavy delivery models by offering AI-augmented, senior-led development with fixed pricing and direct client-to-engineer communication. Technically fluent in .NET Core, React, TypeScript, Node.js and PayloadCMS, Karol has modernized legacy desktop apps into web platforms, halved backend codebases while adding features, and cut e-commerce operation times from minutes to seconds. He has held progressive engineering and leadership roles across companies including Degree, Kainos, and Adare, pairing hands-on implementation with team coaching. Based in Gdańsk, he combines pragmatic product focus with efficiency-driven processes—often shipping in weeks what traditional agencies quote in months. If you’ve felt like you’re paying more for management than engineering, Karol’s practice is built to prove otherwise.
