Top SchoolKartik Modi is a Senior Engineer with 10 years of experience designing low-latency, large-scale distributed systems, microservices, and real-time data platforms. He has driven architecture and implementation across streaming pipelines, Spark tuning, Kafka ecosystems, and Postgres/TimescaleDB-based data marts, often reducing latencies to single-digit milliseconds and simplifying debugging and access control. At Delhivery he owned cost-per-shipment systems, unified data access patterns, and built battle-tested stream APIs and deployment/monitoring for hundreds of pipelines; he now contributes to open-source research in HPC, Linux kernel memory management, and DoE/NSF-funded projects. Comfortable from OS internals to high-level architecture, he blends hands-on debugging (heap/core dumps, JVM tooling, network traces) with HLD/LLD design and team mentoring. Based in the NYC area, he pairs production-grade engineering with academic curiosity—recipient of a research grant for digital sustainability—and an entrepreneurial streak from founding a web/app services startup.
