Summary
👤
SeniorKeivan Esbati is an Android engineer with 9 years of experience, currently leading cross-organizational Android efforts at Rakuten from the Greater Tokyo Area. He blends hands-on implementation—refactoring large codebases, merging disparate apps, and migrating authentication—with people leadership, having hired and mentored 15+ engineers and coordinated 30+ engineers across 10+ teams. A proponent of clean architecture and automated testing, he has repeatedly improved release velocity and testability through CI/CD, dependency injection, and modularization. His background includes co-founding a travel marketplace and delivering enterprise mobile solutions in the power industry, giving him both startup grit and large-scale delivery experience. Beyond code quality, he drives engineering culture, standards, and architecture decisions to ensure features are feasible, well-scoped, and smoothly integrated.
