Senior🎓
Top SchoolKendall Zettlmeier is a seasoned software engineering leader with 10+ years building cloud-native, high-throughput applications and consumer software across healthcare, gaming peripherals, and enterprise domains. Currently Head of Software Engineering at SteelSeries, he has a track record of leading cross-functional teams to deliver device integrations, Electron frontends, mobile clients, and e-commerce platforms while steering architecture and acquisition integrations. Previously as a Staff Engineer at GE Healthcare he helped design a next-generation perinatal surveillance system, implemented Kubernetes CI/CD pipelines, and prototyped ML solutions for fetal monitoring—demonstrating a rare blend of regulated healthcare experience and modern DevOps practices. Kendall is pragmatic about mentorship and engineering processes, routinely introducing CI improvements, code analysis, and containerized builds to raise team velocity and quality. Based in the Greater Chicago Area and a UIC computer science graduate, he brings curiosity-driven problem solving—often surfacing non-obvious optimizations like hardware-accelerated media processing and distributed load strategies—to complex product challenges.
