Top SchoolKendrick Taylor is a founder-CEO-CTO and hands-on engineer with over 16 years of experience building 22 products for 20 companies, frequently developing production-ready systems single-handedly. Based in San Francisco, he excels at scaling infrastructure and AI systems—at Midjourney he designed mission-critical backend services (billing, auth, voting) handling 100M+ requests/day and led large cross-functional projects with zero production outages. He’s a professional generalist who moves between embedded firmware, cloud GPU inference, and full-stack product delivery, and has repeatedly turned prototypes into revenue-generating products and investor-backed companies. As an advisor he’s delivered tailored AI strategy to top-tier VCs, banks, and PE firms, translating technical nuance into business impact. Rarely obvious from titles alone: he also invented firmware patterns and toolchains that cut compile times 10x and increased lab experiment throughput sixfold, showing a knack for deep technical optimizations that improve teams’ velocity.
